PC freezing

I can play BC2 for a bit but then my PC starts to freeze. I cant do anything, not Alt Control Delete, Esc nothing. I have to Hard Reboot the PC to make it work again. Then the freezing keeps occuring when I try to play again. What the hell is its problem?? I just bought this mega PC and it does shit my old POS PC never did. It has froze once or twice on AvP but largely its BC2.

Re: PC freezing

have you checked how high the temps go when your playing.
and might help to figure out, if you post some specs of the pc.
all recent drivers installed.

sounds like a memory overheat to me could be that they need a seperate cooler i used to get lock ups before i upgraded to this machine that was a graphics card driver problem have you got an ati card or two i found that nvidia cards are much more reliable but thats just my opinion

I will try turning up the speed of the fans and see if that works.

The Ram sticks have a dual fan too that attach to them specifically.

Re: PC freezing

does it happen when explosions etc go off up close? if so then maybe the card is strugglin to cope with it at such high settings......try lowering the RES or lowering your settings. you should assign a log off or sleep button on keyboard so that when it happens u just press the key and it will log off or go into sleepmode so u dont do a restart.

try updating all drivers, even your sound driver....might sound pointless but that could also be a problem. some1 said that the latest gfx driver for nvidia was giving errors to people, if u got nvidia card maybe roll back the driver or read about it.
